Dungeon Residential Camps, Somewhere, Saturday

And then the pathways slammed shut.

Oh, not all of them. Most of them simply rearranged themselves. But whatever had connected each camp to another had been violently stripped away. They were alone now, and they were easy prey. At least the winds had settled down...

The maze had grown more erratic, however. Instead of speeding up time for all, it was now slowing it down at random in different places. Anyone caught in a sudden bubble of it would find themselves slowing down compared to the rest of the world. Awkward.

Camp One - Main Space

The central chamber is dimly lit but light enough to keep out the grues. There is a torch grafted to the wall every few feet, its flames flickering but never going out. A single water fountain rests between two torches. When activated, it releases a thin stream of water. In one corner, there are bags on the floor, big enough to be worn by an adult-sized human.

Gert woke up early today from a nightmare, and she was mostly just relieved that she'd learned to deal with those without yelling or anything, because she didn't think the rest of the camp would appreciate being woken up by that. She was on edge, though, and wouldn't be moving much until she was damn well ready.

Stiles hadn't left this camp last night and he couldn't really say he was fretting about being cut off again. He thought (albeit maybe too hopefully) that he was past the crying stage of grief and had a settled firmly into the part where you sit against a wall and stare at nothing for awhile.

He was miserable, but at least he wasn't crying again.

Rilla had finally gotten Jims to sleep and was taking the opportunity to get a tiny bit of space.

"Do you need something to eat?" she asked softly.

"No, I'm fine," Stiles said, his voice sounding a bit raw. "Kind of afraid if I eat something I'll throw up."

"Maybe there's tea around?" Rilla said, worrying her lower lip. "I can't guarantee it'll be hot..."

For some strange reason, Stiles had most of Kitty's concern today, and while she didn't want to keep checking up on him every five minutes, she did want to make sure he knew she was still there.

So she sat against the wall next to him, not saying anything for the moment.

Stiles appreciated the company. Or, rather, he appreciated knowing where Kitty was at all times. The thought of that made him frown. "My dad is going to freak out when he finds out I've gone missing."

"We'll be out of here soon enough," Kitty told him, because she was in that mode where that was just a thing that was Going To Happen Dammit. "You'll be able to call and tell him you're okay."

Derek wasn't one of Clint's favorite people by a longshot, but that didn't mean Clint was enjoying seeing Stiles miserable. "Hey," he said quietly, sitting down next to Stiles. "How are you holding up?"

"Not terrible, all things considered. I'm sorry," Clint said with genuine sympathy. "None of you should be dealing with this kind of crap right now."

Jack had not dealt well with the news Derek was gone. He'd spent the day before mindlessly exploring corridors until he felt sane -- or at least the next thing to sane -- enough to talk to Stiles without shouting or weeping.

Both seemed to be at bay now. He spoke calmly, though Jack's eyes were rimmed with red if one looked closely.

"It does," Jack said, because he saw no point in lying. "But wasting away isn't going to help anything."

Kaidan was in a better frame of mind today. He was a soldier, and reasonably well-equipped emotionally to deal with a situation like this - it was the memories that had knocked him out of the running for a while.

He was back onto his feet now, sorting through supplies and getting ready to make a run for more.

Yesterday the gravity of the situation had really kicked in for Kitty. There'd been situations here where people could have died, and people had gone missing but it was possible they'd just been sent elsewhere, but with someone- a friend, no less- actually confirmed dead, she was more determined than ever to get them all out of here. Also, feeling determined was tons better than feeling depressed.

She'd go out again if she could, but for the moment she was trying to put her hand through the wall, testing whether or not her powers were going to feel like working today.

Apparently the answer was 'nope.'

"Still super solid?" Clint asked quietly, watching her with the wall. He, admittedly, wasn't as upset about Derek, but he was upset for Kitty and Stiles and that was enough, he figured.

Allie was back from her explorations. She'd managed to get away from the village with some bread, cheese, and a few apples. Since they didn't do anything to appease her own hunger, she was more then happy to share them with someone who needed it.
