Dungeon Residential Camps, Somewhere, Saturday

And then the pathways slammed shut.

Oh, not all of them. Most of them simply rearranged themselves. But whatever had connected each camp to another had been violently stripped away. They were alone now, and they were easy prey. At least the winds had settled down...

The maze had grown more erratic, however. Instead of speeding up time for all, it was now slowing it down at random in different places. Anyone caught in a sudden bubble of it would find themselves slowing down compared to the rest of the world. Awkward.

And Tim was instantly sorry he'd brought it up. He reached out and gave her hand a squeeze.

"So hey, my classes are ending in two months, you want to do something this summer?"

She nodded, squeezing his hand in return. "Once we're done exploring the new Fandom dungeons, I would like that."

"Oh well of course. Plan for the next project, but finish the current one first. I think Faust said something like that once. Which reminds me, I got my copy of the wedding album, did yours arrive yet?"

He was keeping a sharp eye out, but one thing he'd learned in his years of dealing with one crisis or another, was it helped to keep an optimistic mood.
