Dungeon Residential Camps, Somewhere, Saturday

And then the pathways slammed shut.

Oh, not all of them. Most of them simply rearranged themselves. But whatever had connected each camp to another had been violently stripped away. They were alone now, and they were easy prey. At least the winds had settled down...

The maze had grown more erratic, however. Instead of speeding up time for all, it was now slowing it down at random in different places. Anyone caught in a sudden bubble of it would find themselves slowing down compared to the rest of the world. Awkward.

"Fluffy," Jono sighed, shaking his head a little. "Far, far more fluffy than I'd ever intended to be."

He wasn't enjoying the fluffiness. Not really. But at least it was a safer complaint than 'having a crisis of morale,' or something.

"So's Priestly," Dinah commiserated. "But that tail saved our lives, so..." Yay? "Are you getting enough to eat?" She held out one of the rolls from last night. "We still have a few left after people ate when we got back."

"Brought a few bags of vegetables back yesterday," Jonothon shared, shrugging his shoulders. "Ate my fill before I even started carrying them back to camp, and I haven't let myself really go hungry since."

That wasn't going to stop him from accepting the offered roll, though.

"Good," Dinah said thankfully. "How's Raven doing?" She tilted her head. "I told her I'd donate next."

"I don't know," he admitted, frowning a little. "She hasn't come to speak to me about feeding again." What with Jono's mun being at a con in America and all.

Which meant one more thing for Jono to worry about.

"Crap." Dinah pinched the bridge of her nose, then dropped her hand. "Did you hear that there are some keys people found? Maybe we'll get out of here before it becomes a thing."

"... Keys?"

This was actually not helping Jono with his 'completely useless in the face of adversity, thanks for bringing that to my attention, April' issues, since he had not, in fact, heard of any keys.

"There's a locked door somewhere in here." Dinah waved her arm down the corridor. "Someone in the other camp stumbled across it, I guess. And the little figures on the mantel are keys, sometimes. Dean has one." She rubbed at her eyes. "So, assuming there's a door out through that way, maybe..."

Yeah. Maybe. But Dinah was going to hang onto that 'maybe.'

"So far, it's the best chance we've got," Jono sighed, nodding a little. "Provided the keys aren't another cruel joke like every other nightmare iteration of Fandom that those doors have led us to since we were brought here."

"Mmmph. Or just random awful weirdness." Dinah sighed. "Nazis. On an airship. Too freaking weird."
