Jack had scavenged a package of stale Hostess cupcakes from the garage the day before, and they were meant to be breakfast. (There was bread and cream; it was practically nutritious.)
Except -- packets of snack food didn't normally feel like bricks in the hand, did they? Jack poked at the wrapper uneasily. "Is there some kind of mold that makes food heavy?" he asked no one in particular.
