Dungeon Residential Camps, Somewhere, Friday

A strong wind tore through the hallways. Inside the camps, it was only audible: no breeze flicked into the large chambers themselves. Outside them, though, torches would flicker on and off on their own whim, exposing the dungeon's residents to errant grues.

There was something to be celebrated, though: when the maze shifted overnight, its paths crossed and connected all three camps. Time for a reunion.

Camp Three - The Room

Camp Three - Main Space

The central chamber is dimly lit but light enough to keep out the grues. There is a torch grafted to the wall every few feet, its flames flickering but never going out. A single water fountain rests between two torches. When activated, it releases a thin stream of water. In one corner, there are bags on the floor, big enough to be worn by an adult-sized human.

Yesterday had sucked and Jaina didn't want to talk about it. At least Oprah had distracted her from dealing with having Myrkr dragged back up and thrown at her?

She was checking the charge on her blasters and then she was going back out. Hopefully before anyone could ask her if she went crazy yesterday.

Sucks to be you, Jaina! Although to Mike's credit, he looked sincerely concerned.

Jaina sighed, then looked up at him. "No. One of the rooms was filled with gremlins," she explained.

This? Was the confused look of someone who was still somehow new enough to Fandom to not know what that meant. Lucky him.

"I'm sorry," he said, "but I think you're gonna have to explain a bit more. Filled with what now?"

"You are so lucky," she said. "They're these little green things, they show up in Fandom a lot. They bite you, and their venom makes you hallucinate that you're something else. Like apparently Oprah."

Ugh.

"Ohhh." Well, yes, that sounded... both bad and pretty accurate. Still, he gave her a wry smile. "Well, for what it's worth, you made a really good Oprah. Feeling better?"

"Yes. Luckily it was only one bite," Jaina said. "And if I run into any more, I'm just going to start shooting."

"That sounds like an excellent plan." No, really. They had enough trouble without gremlins. "So you're gonna head out again, huh?"

She nodded. "There's at least one other camp and people have gone missing," she said. "Maybe I can find them, or just bring stuff back, but sitting around here drives me nuts."

"Yeah, I hear you," Mike agreed, scratching the back of his head. "It's getting ridiculous to be stuck here, anyway."

"No, ma'am." He clucked his tongue for further effect. "About ready to go home and see which jobs I got fired from for not showing up."

"I think anyplace in Fandom will write this off as extenuating circumstances," Jaina said.

"Oh, it's not Fandom I'm worried about," Mike assured her, shaking his head. "I mean, I hope my boss isn't anywhere here, but I doubt she'd fire me for this. Anyone on the mainland, however..."

He hoped this didn't affect his reputation in the field of construction.

Camp Three - Alcoves

Between some of the torches there are little alcoves, just wide enough to fit a single human being lying down.

Oh, they were still here? Bummer.

Mike looked groggy as he started getting up from his alcove. Time to face new challenges, he guessed, but seriously, they needed to get out of here already.

Camp Three - Fireplace

At the back of the room stands a singular fireplace giving off some heat. On its mantle lies an array of little figurines, shifting day by day. Right now a teal deer bobblehead seems to lead the tiny army.

The fact was, Alec was having a really awful week, and you could tell that because when he set a hot dog (the only one left in the pack he'd found) on fire, that was by far not the worst or most surprising thing that had happened.

He did yelp and leap up, despite his rather disturbingly low bar for crappiness, but he was only human.

Well. Human and angel.

Camp Three - Corridors Out Of Camp Three

Torches line these walls - thank god - but in the distance this corridor breaks into two, and then three. There are visible shadows in the distance, and sometimes, an unearthly rattling noise can be heard.

You can also hear the wind rushing through the corridors as soon as they start branching.

Coulson kind of appreciated the wind for a while, so he hung around just outside the camp for a bit. But when the lights flickered out and he was pretty sure he had a close call with... something, he went back inside.
