The pathways of the dungeon had changed overnight. Anyone who had stayed in a room beyond their welcome had found themselves booted out back onto the hallways that belonged to their camp. Those doors had closed. Other doors had now opened.
As had other routes.

From:A Clockwork Door
Date: 2013-04-10 05:43 am (UTC)The area inside might be mistaken for a foggy London street at first glance. But then it becomes obvious it has a ceiling, not a sky - and from that ceiling hang weapons bound with thick thread, just within reach for anyone daring to climb up onto a rooftop. Upon further inspection, the weapons might seem familiar: in fact, they might look exactly like items left behind in the weapons locker at school...
Of course, if you take one step too many, one of those tick-tacking men might overhear... and attempt to pull you from the rooftops and smother you before you can reach anything.
[ as always, let us know if you want an NPC. be careful, because those clockwork men are lethal, and come equipped with electric shocks. ]
Re: A Clockwork Door
Date: 2013-04-10 01:20 pm (UTC)She'd come out of this with a shiny sword for her trouble, but also some scorch marks and a long gash across her forehead. Oh, and a new found fear of people dressed like Louis XIV.
Re: A Clockwork Door
Date: 2013-04-10 01:42 pm (UTC)He even managed one better than that: in addition to his bow and quiver (with an inconveniently small amount of arrows, but he'd manage), he found a knife for Sparkle. Score.

But, at least he got a machete out if the deal. Since the guns he'd grabbed had been used to not end up dead.

"And hello, steampunk evil-- gah!"
Sigh, these pajamas were never going to be useful again. But hey, at least she had a crossbow and some throwing knives now.
She knew there was a reason she'd always hated French history in school.

Her freezing power only worked for a few seconds at a time today. That's why she managed to escape from the robots with only a small knife...and a few minor burn marks on her arms. At least she was pretty decent with knives from chef training.

From:A Pungent Door
Date: 2013-04-10 05:44 am (UTC)Take a step through, and find yourself back near Fandom's lawn, in front of a large barricade. If you run quickly, you might reach the school or dorms and find the supplies hidden within: food left behind in the cafeteria and the common rooms, clothes lying around the rooms (though oddly, those items seem to belong to a previous generation of students). There are also berries in the bushes behind the school, and bunnies and deer still occupy the preserve.
If you run in the wrong direction, you'll run straight into that moaning mob of zombies - some of which might look familiar - might just turn you into a snack.
[ zombieverse bde! if you need an NPC, let us know. the same rules hold here as for vampverse: if you get bitten, you're a zombie for the rest of the plot. if you had a character around during the zombieverse, you are welcome to guest star them here, including if they are currently dropped. ]
Re: A Pungent Door
Date: 2013-04-10 06:44 am (UTC)But, oh, this place was way too familiar. He remembered that barricade. He remembered fending off zombies with a mop handle. He bolted for the school, broken fence from the vampire Fandom still in hand, ready to stab anyone who exaggerated their vowels too much.

Date: 2013-04-10 01:38 pm (UTC)There was something really creepy about this place, and she didn't really want to stay any longer than necessary. But she figured she could get in, grab some things and get out, and had started towards the dorms when she heard the moaning. So she slowed to a stop and listened for a moment to make sure she really had heard that.
"Great," she muttered. "Zombies."
Someone watched a lot of TV. Maybe she should go back and try another door...

Re: A Pungent Door
Date: 2013-04-10 02:24 pm (UTC)When she spotted the zombies in the distance, she realized that might have been a mistake. She tossed a handful of rocks in their direction, which seemed to distract them enough that she was able to get behind the barricade. "It's like I walked into Dawn of the Deaf," she told anyone who might hear her, and then started picking through the pile of clothes. They were a little heavy on the flannel, but she was getting cold in her jammies.

Re: A Pungent Door
Date: 2013-04-10 05:22 pm (UTC)She shouldn't venture inside. Her biotics seemed dull and unfocused. She was not certain that whatever laid on the other side was something she could face.
She went in regardless. People were starving at her camp. And if that meant that she walked into town in search of food instead of retreating to the zombie-free dorms, well...
...sometimes she was just stupidly stubborn.

A Door With A Handle
Date: 2013-04-10 05:44 am (UTC)Step into the room, and there are even more suitcases. And bags. Actually, the room looks like a well-stuffed storage compartment, with only a little wiggle room. Upon closer inspection, all the items here seem to come with labels. Familiar labels. Labels that might speak to you inside...
If you dare, you can try to open one of the bags. They might contain clothing or smaller items like matches and hairpins. Or they might move and slide off, landing on your head and putting you out of commission for good...
[ emotional baggage room! we're, uh. willing to NPC your emotional baggage if you really want us to. ]
Re: A Door With A Handle
Date: 2013-04-10 09:23 am (UTC)He was getting twitchy, too: blame the lack of deathsticks with him. He opened the first door he came across and stepped inside...only to fling himself flat on the floor as he barely escaped getting crushed by a giant metal suitcase labeled DADDY ISSUES.
"Real karking funny," he told the ceiling.
