Dungeon Residential Camps, Somewhere, Thursday
On the third day (or the fourth, depending on where you were currently huddled), the Toymaker cracked his knuckles and got to work: hallways shifted again, and groups that had been able to interact were cut off again. Gravity grew heavier to make it harder to walk, to run, to find the energy to move around.
The maze shifted again, and those trapped inside would have to see what new surprises awaited them today. The Toymaker wasn't done playing with them, even as their numbers began to dwindle. No, not at all.

Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
Pot, kettle. Whatever.
Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
"Hello, Kennedy," she said, wondering if her friend would be able to sense what she was now.
Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
"God, Raven," Kennedy said in a strained version of her usual teasing delivery, forcing a laugh. "You would end up here too, wouldn't you?"
Her crossbow-trigger finger was weirdly twitchy. She gritted her teeth and willed it to stop.
Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
Ordinarily she would have been going for a hug, but given what had happened to her, and given what Kennedy was, she was hesitating.
Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
"Ugh. I guess it could be worse, right? I mean, hey, at least I'm not trapped in a hell dimension, as far as I know." She eyed Raven curiously. "Hey, I know I'm not the biggest touchy-feely girl around or anything but what, no hugs?"
Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
Slayer blood was probably very tasty, wasn't it?
Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
Also, cue the staring. "You. Were. God, Raven!" Whether she liked it or not, she had the crossbow aimed at Raven now (though her finger wasn't near the trigger) and a full-force glare working, too. "'Oh, hey, Kennedy, how are you, long time no see by the way I might be all fangy now?' Seriously? Except how does that even work? You're already a demon."
Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
"And I think that is the only reason I have not been fully transformed," Raven said. "The demon that I am does not want to be pushed aside by this new force that is trying to control me. But I am still me. I still have my soul." For now, at least.
Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
"That explains the semi-wiggins," Kennedy muttered. "Yay, me, I can add another souled vampire to the list of ones that I know."
ONE MORE THAN BUFFY. HA, TAKE THAT, SUMMERS.
"...I'm not going to have to, like, keep an eye on you, am I? I mean, do you have to feed or anything?"
Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
"I do," Raven admitted reluctantly, trying very hard not to eye Kennedy's neck. "I have been wanting to find Mr. Northman to ask how he copes with this hunger. I do not wish to take anyone's blood against their will, but it is not easy to ask someone, either. It is distasteful, but I cannot risk my hunger becoming so strong I lose control. I promised I would not."
This really sucked for a vegetarian.
Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
"And of course there's no, like, random TruBlood lying around in one of these stupid dungeon rooms. Damn." She lowered the crossbow-- not that she meant to do it that quickly, but hi traitorous gravity issues-- and sighed. "I guess... if you really have to, I can volunteer."
She figured if it came down to it, she could stop Raven from going too far.
Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
"You would do that for me?" Raven said, touched. "Thank you. I am not certain how often I must drink to keep the hunger at bay. I have so much to learn, though I am praying this will be undone somehow." Either by whatever was keeping them prisoner being defeated, or by her own demon self triumphing over the invader.
Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
She winced; this brought back some fairly sensitive memories.
"If someone has to stop you somehow, I'd..." She bit her lip and looked down. "Guess I'd feel better knowing it's someone who cares about you, you know?"

She was still wearing pink leggings and a ridiculously gigantic pregnancy T-shirt with LOVE YOUR BUMP! and silk-screened hand prints on it. Shut up. She was still badass.
"Hey. Anything new?" Dinah smiled a little, and leaned against the wall. Was she going to have to crawl down the corridor on the way back?

Also checked for pulses on people coming back in. Not that Dinah knew that.
Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
"Can't save 'em all, can you?" she remembered the First asking in Eve's voice, back in Sunnydale. She winced.
"Yeah, that was stupid of us," she admitted. "On the other hand, I think we picked up a few new ones, so... there's that?"

Had to say it."I don't know what we can do about that. Ask people to touch a cross as they come back in?" She shrugged helplessly. "Some people were vampires before this started, like that Erik guy."Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two

She leaned against the wall, which she meant to do more gracefully but gravity took over with a vengeance.
"I feel like a lab rat or something. Like someone's screwing with us just to see what we'll do."
Re: Camp Two - Corridors out of Camp Two
If she jumped into something full-bore, one of those endless pits, would she find who was in charge? Was there a way to do that, and send a message back? Somehow?
