Dungeon Residential Camps, Somewhere, Friday
A strong wind tore through the hallways. Inside the camps, it was only audible: no breeze flicked into the large chambers themselves. Outside them, though, torches would flicker on and off on their own whim, exposing the dungeon's residents to errant grues.
There was something to be celebrated, though: when the maze shifted overnight, its paths crossed and connected all three camps. Time for a reunion.
[ camp one | camp two | camp three | ooc as of yesterday, everyone in camp 1 is free to assume they know about the first key and the vault. ]

Camp Two - Main Space
Re: Camp Two - Main Space
Still there. And to think she'd bothered to be annoyed about a few little hickeys just last week.
Re: Camp Two - Main Space
Still, it didn't make his ritual of wake-up-grab-for-electronics-that-aren't-there-curse-the-universe-under-his-breath any more fun.

"Here."

For the days before it, too.

That was mostly a promise to herself.

Like today. She wasn't super hungry yet, but that would probably change, and in the meantime she'd just be checking out the snack options from her position under a torch in a corner.
Re: Camp Two - Main Space
He was looking fairly tired, himself. But at least he was clothed, and he'd managed to scrounge together food here and there over the past few days. If a handbag full of orange TicTacs counted, anyhow.
Jono was starting to really hate orange TicTacs.
Re: Camp Two - Main Space
That wasn't quite as sarcastic as it sounded...
Re: Camp Two - Main Space
His ex was a vampire, one of his best friends had been prone to curling up in the fetal position in her alcove since a vampire damn near tore her throat out. Something had eaten Pinkie Pie. Jono was in a prime place to worry, here.
"You look to be more or less in one piece, at least."
Re: Camp Two - Main Space
He would be fun to mess with, she decided. With his worrying and the way they'd been friends before. It was just a question of how.
Re: Camp Two - Main Space
He was going to ignore that twisting feeling in his insides as she replied to that. It was fatigue speaking, maybe. It was the situation as a whole. He hadn't had a proper sleep in days and hunger was catching up to him. That's all it was.
"Well, if there's anything I can get for you, Sunshine. Something I should keep an eye open for on my next supply run... just let me know."

Since then he hadn't slept. He thought he might have dozed briefly but he wasn't sure. He had spent a lot of time pacing, as quietly as he could.
He had stopped pacing at some point and was now seated on the floor watching one of the torches as it flickered. He didn't want to be in the dark. Of course, he could always take off his mask and provide a little light that way, at least for a while.
[if anyone wants to borrow the alien as a walking nightlight, he'll totally go with you if you ask and he'll try his best not to flail about it. Although I will be at work and verrrrry slow until about 5ish EDT]
Re: Camp Two - Main Space
But it had totally ended with a pair of fuzzy ears atop his head, and a tail that was big and fluffy enough to knock out large turtles if he swung it at them.
Judging by the way he was sitting with a scowl on his face and his arms crossed over his chest, he wasn't considering that to be a successful trip for supplies at all, no. He'd probably make another attempt at it again later, but for the time being he was fluffy and adorable, and even he needed to take a moment to nurse his bruised pride every now and again, thanks.
Re: Camp Two - Main Space
"This," she got out between inelegant snorts, "is a hell of a makeover."
Re: Camp Two - Main Space
"You'd think I'd be more used to those by now," he replied dryly, rolling his eyes toward the ceiling. "Do yourself a favour, luv. If you find yourself in that room with the turtles and walking mushrooms and the blocks that spit things out if you hit your head on them, and out of one of those blocks comes a leaf, don't touch it."
Unless you really wanted to be an irritated furry. A raccoon or whatever the hell this was supposed to be, Jonothon wouldn't know a tanuki if one bit him on the nose. Or if he suddenly found himself being partly one, himself.
Re: Camp Two - Main Space
She cleared her throat and looked sheepish. "Sorry. I guess I kinda needed that laugh."
Re: Camp Two - Main Space
He wasn't too broken up about that, really.

A beat.
"He wasn't the brightest bloke I've met."
Poor Bowser.
