Well, at least one person from Camp Naked had found better clothes today, even if he was now brooding by the fireplace about getting kicked out of the Greatest Place Ever where vampires could eat whoever they wanted...

Eric was bleeding slightly at the ears--a penalty for being awake while the sun was up.

Hey, look, it was an April who smelled a bit vampiric today.

She sat down next to Eric and gave him a nod.

From:

Eric arched up an eyebrow. "Really," he said. "Interesting. Don't eat everyone in here. It would be tacky."

From:

April scoffed. "Please, give me more credit than that." April, you were a baby vamp. You weren't cool enough to deserve that much credit yet. "Causing mass panic doesn't seem like it would be all that fun."

And she was more interested in the fun approaches.

"Oh, it would be lots of fun," Eric said, "but we'd need more than two vampires to pull it off."

Welcome to this side of chatting with vampires, April. Eric tried to hide the creepy some from humans. He didn't hold back with other vampires.

"Yeah?" Here April had thought cornering individuals one by one would be the more entertaining approach. "Not lying, getting them alone, making them cry when they realize...?"

"You can still have that, just by the dozens," Eric said, "but you have to be commanding and effective. It's not for the newly turned."

April accepted that without objection, finding the vampire ageism to make perfect sense considering the way her brain was newly coded. "I can wait," she said, sounding unbothered. "Got any pro tips for right now?"

"Go for the stupid, weak ones," Eric advised.

"Wow. Good thing I asked."

A killer instinct hadn't repressed April's sarcasm, apparently.

Eric shrugged. "I'm not your maker. I don't have to give you good tips."

From:

"Is that how that works?" Oops, April was even more of a baby vamp than the average freshly-turned vampire. "He was lecturing me while I was drinking some guy and the screaming was kinda loud."

Silly breathers, making all that noise when April was trying to listen.

"Whatever. It seems pretty fucking straightforward." Wasn't like the typical human could put up much of a fight. She kicked ass now.

"Don't miss the artery," Eric advised. "Classic mistake."

If Annie had seen him as part of Camp Naked yesterday, well... she didn't recognize his face. Ahem.

"Oh my gosh. Are you bleeding?" she asked, really concerned about this.

From:

Well, the rest of him was a little...attention seeking.

He reached up to touch his ears. "Oh. The sun's up. This happens."

"...The sun makes people bleed?"

She probably should have expected that here.

From:

"Some people, yes," Eric said. "I'll go to sleep soon and it will stop."

From:

"So... the sun makes you bleed but it'll stop when you go to sleep." It did sound a little weird when spelled out like that.

Eric shrugged. "I don't make the rules."

From:

"Huh. Well, that's... really interesting?"

It was worrying. And weird. That's what it was.

"I'm also a vampire," Eric offered.

From:

Oh.

"Oh," Annie said, cheerfully, really. "But not the people eating kind, right?"

From:

"Not this morning," he said.

He was full, thanks.

Annie paused.

"Oh," she said again, this time backing away slowly. "That's... You know, I think I hear someone calling me. I'm just gonna be right over theeee- You know what? Actually, I'm not going to be anywhere. So you can just forget I said anything."
