On the third day (or the fourth, depending on where you were currently huddled), the Toymaker cracked his knuckles and got to work: hallways shifted again, and groups that had been able to interact were cut off again. Gravity grew heavier to make it harder to walk, to run, to find the energy to move around.

The maze shifted again, and those trapped inside would have to see what new surprises awaited them today. The Toymaker wasn't done playing with them, even as their numbers began to dwindle. No, not at all.

Éponine was more coherent today than she had been the last two days, but she was back at the fireplace looking at the figurines anyway.

"It's a shame," she told the squirrel figurine sadly, "that you likely wouldn't be willing to share that bottle if you were real."

Maybe she could scrounge up something to drink out there somewhere . . .

Zeela was out today. Sholeh wasn't feeling well and the sisters had agreed that it would be better to let her rest and possibly have people miss her than let her stay in view, especially now that the camps were mingling and people were wandering in and out.

Until food time, of course. Then Sholeh had to come out and eat.

For now, though, Zeela was glaring at the stupid figurines. They kept changing, of course, but why? Did they mean something? Were they supposed to represent something? Did they change form or was someone secretly replacing them with magic? Just one more stupid mystery in a dungeon full of them.

Out of spite, Zeela grabbed one a the little figures, a gremlin holding a key. Ha, stupid dungeon! See how you liked that.

...Shut up, her ability to be spiteful was very limited, okay? She took what she could get.

After returning from a bar she'd come across on the other side of the dungeon, Sam emptied her knapsack out on the floor. "I've got food and I've got weapons," she called. "They're up for grabs for anyone who needs any."
